Producing edits of Disco music has been with us along time and in recent years it has become alot easier to do with a computer and a wave file of your favourite records. As a DJ it is always a good thing to have something slightly different to what other people are playing. We all like to have a track that is unique to us that we can pull out and test it in the field so to speak.
Editing tracks on Ableton is something I have done for many years now and it is here where I made my RobJamWeb alias popular within the Disco scene. So I took it upon myself to put together a two hour seminar showing you how to do it yourself.
The techniques I deliver in this course are all of those that I use in my own music so the effects systems I use and the arrangement skills are all exactly how I produce a track of my own. The list of skills and tips and tricks you will pick up here are highlighted below to give you an idea of what you will learn.
CHOOSING THE CORRECT LOOPS & SAMPLES
HOW TO FIND THE KEY OF THE SONG
ADDING DRUMS AND PERCUSSION
HOW TO EXTRACT ACAPELLAS
LEAD LINES AND CHORDS
ARRANGEMENT SKILLS
MIXING SKILLS
I have made it available to purchase along with the full template in Ableton 10 so you can take from it all of the key skills and arrangement techniques to help you in your own edit productions
The video is just over two hours long and features a few questions in there from some attendees, but overall the entire session is myself driving the course and showing you all of the necessary tips and techniques on producing an edit. You can view the preview video here below and see how it looks and sounds.
So if you like what you see, just click the pay now button and for £10 you can learn the fundamental skills in Disco Funk editing within Ableton. However you can still apply these skills in any other DAW, so please dont limit yourself if you are a Cuebase user etc. The same tricks and arrangements can be applied in your choose of DAW.
Please check the video out below to see the course in action.
